While stopped at the light, I reached for my iPhone 6 Plus (yes I like the gigantic version of the iPhone) and squeezed off a few frames of my windshield after turning off the windshield wipers. The result is a lucky accident, but there are no accidents really. The more you shoot the luckier you get…

I am a beginner (don’t know if its right to call myself a photographer:) ) and I was learning about composition, watching ben long videos where he referred to your work. Could not wait any longer to check your site. This picture is exactly what Ben called “sense of balance”… Your site has been book marked and will be checked very frequently. Thanks eh 😉
Anything to help, just holler…
Isn’t it amazing how naturally the form, gesture, composition, colors all come together in this one shot. But I love how you so cleverly put it: “The result is a lucky accident, but there are no accidents really. The more you shoot the luckier you get…”
Yes it is…and thanks.
Love this! I did something similar in a blizzard 2 years ago – but yours has such beautiful colors! Thanks for sharing!
thanks, I have done this too…but once in a while it works out better than other times.
I like this very much, in particular the shot from the front of the cab over to the left, it’s very impressionistic in nature. Love the splashes of bright color. It works!
Thanks Susan, including a NY Cab in any NY scene I think helps too. And with so many cabs out there, it’s not hard to do.
That would be true now isn’t it? And adds context. Still, great shot. Now I need an iPhone 6 plus!
